JULY

Can you believe it's only six months until the holidays and time to start your holiday crafting already?

Remember all those snowmen you wanted to make last year for your co-workers but then you ran out of time and never got to get them all done? Start in July and you'll have plenty of time. You won't feel rushed and you'll be able to enjoy your time spent crafting. And this might not be a bad time to begin shopping for those hard to buy for friends and family members, too. We know all too well that time flies. Start now and let this be the year you don't feel the holiday rush!

IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Morry's Camp is a year-round youth development organization that provides to each child a multi-year commitment anchored by a superb residential summer camp experience.

Susan Wolman, shown in the picture to the left, is a volunteer at Morry's Camp. She teaches the children the fine arts of quilting and pillow making. A teacher by profession, Susan feels being a part of this camp is her most rewarding job.

Did you know the third week in July is “Hug Week?” Celebrate it by hugging as many people as possible!!

“All American Ann” is the perfect patriotic doll craft. Make it a family project by having the youngsters help stuff her with poly-fil®.

Quick Tip: Keep poly-fil® fluffy. Do not compress into a ball (to avoid a lumpy appearance). Many fluffy layers will yield a smooth result.

Trendy Ideas by Catherine
If your vacation plans don't include a trip to your favorite European city this summer, why not give your boudoir a European flair instead by adding some Euro Shams to your bedroom ensemble? Twenty-six and twenty-seven inch square pillows are tres chic!! Use three pillows across the top of your bed; the next layer could be your bed pillows and finally, add a row of smaller decorative pillows. Au revoir!!
