Erika Carter has been making quilts since 1984. Her work is inspired by nature; her imagery expressed texturally through her use of color, pattern, piecing and hand quilting. Erika is a highly disciplined artist who lives to explore the possibilities of expression in art quilt making.

“My sense of success is fleeting...I don’t stay comfortable for long. The times when I feel the next step is almost impossible is when is when I am closest to making it successful. This journey, this exploration, this process is evidence of the creative life within.”
