A self-taught artist, Yvonne Porcella is a leader in the field of art quilting and pieced clothing. She began to quilt in the early 1980’s.
Her work is now among the permanent collections of the American Craft Museum NY, The Los Angeles Museum of Art, and the Phoenix Art Museum.

Yvonnes quilts are known for their bold colors, whimsical themes and abstract patterns. She often incorporates geometric shapes such as stripes, squares, triangles and checkerboards into her work. She is also well known for her “softer style”; like this one, quilts made from her hand painted fabrics in soft colors.

In 1998 Yvonne Porcella was selected as the years honoree for the Quilters Hall of Fame; the 30th individual to be so honored since the Hall was founded in 1979.
